After their experience together on Survivor, Mark Burnett asked Brady to direct his epic endurance competition, Eco-Challenge. It was a perfect match with Brady’s interest in large-scale, multi-camera directing. To place more emphasis on the storytelling rather than just athleticism, Brady plotted a “man-on-man” coverage plan , requiring countless boats, ATVs, bicycles, 4x4s and helicopters to advance camera teams and producers along the 320-mile jungle course. Drawing on the talented producers and crews from Survivor, Brady directed 20+ camera teams, covering 75 international endurance teams, racing 24 hours a day, over a 12-day period.

Eco-Challenge: Borneo was nominated for an Emmy that year (along with Survivor), and remains an esteemed production in the annals of television’s largest and most complicated productions.
